We spent a night at this hotel, it has a nice boutique style, the room is spacey and clean. It’s clear that in the old city it is quite difficult to find a quiet place but in this case there is a bar-restaurant directly underneath the windows. Open until 01 AM, so it was a bit loud until that time. On the other hand the restaurant is very good, has nice starters and good cocktails so you can see it as an advantage too. We would generally recommend this place but not for a stay with a baby.
Coffee was really great at the hotel restaurant! The crew was exceptionally nice and sweet! The room was very clear, daily change of towels, cleaning of the bathroom, etc.
The breakfast had small variety. Our room hasn't got fridge and microwave, which would have been useful with a 1 yo child.
Our wall fell apart but it was ok because Alma said to close the door very softly
Coming here for the second time shows that choosing this hotel is an experience that leaves a good impression.
When I made my way in without a booking, the receptionist on duty gave me a warm welcome and although it was still before check-in time, he gave me permission to stay in the room. The room, being a double was huge for my requirements, containing all the necessary furniture, a desk included. A kettle, bottled water and sachets of tea were available.
The bathroom, big and airy was clean and polished to perfection and contained all the necessary accoutrements and more.
This hotel is only a stone's throw away from Piazza del Comune where one can find the outstanding Duomo, Cremona's famous bell tower and the medieval town hall. Tucked in Vicolo Bordogallo, it is housed in a small medieval palazzo, renovated with no expense spared.
The breakfast in the adjoining bar downstairs was beyond expectations. Although it was not the buffet type, the selection was good enough and in abundance.
Best location in the center of the city.
Best quality service for rooms/reception/breakfast.
The only one disappointment is the noise from the pub in the front of the hotel (it lasted long in the night and stopped only at 2 am ).
We had a great stay at Astoria Hotel Cremona. The hotel is well located in the historical centre of the city. All staff is very kind and extremely patient with our basic Italian language :)
The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect! The staff is nice, the breakfast is pretty good and the rooms are spacious. The only bad thing was that at night time it was VERY noisy and it was hard to fall asleep
Great central location. Rooms clean and tidy, a bit basic; but then so are a lot of hotels. Daily maid service, change of towels and bedding. Downside in room: plastic cups for your tea and coffee, and no milk (not even UHT) provided.
Beds are of medium firmness, I have trouble with my back and had no issue sleeping on it.
TV in room (didn't use it), hairdryer in bathroom., combination safe in wardrobe, free Wi-Fi.
Usual continental breakfast stuff: cakes, fruit, cheese, ham, yogurts, pastries, eggs, juice, tea, limited cereal, toast, preservatives and coffee.
It can be a bit noisy late at night (as I said central location), buy not enough to put me off.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Fairly priced rooms.
All in all a great little place and I would highly recommend it.
